![]() Nancy is depicted as intentionally hiding stolen evidence (the clock) from the police, and gunfire is involved in the police-robber chase.Ī climactic scene, inserted before the denouement and epilogue, sees Nancy delighted to take the money away from the Tophams and see it distributed to destitute family and friends. She is able to obtain the title clock while the burglars drink heavily (illegal in 1930) at a wayside inn. She is imprisoned in the vacant house while the African-American caretaker recovers (the burglars had gotten him drunk). There she is overpowered by the burglars who stole the Crowley clock and the rest of the Topham furniture. ![]() She then joins Helen at summer camp to investigate the Topham summer-home nearby. When Helen gives Nancy charity tickets to sell, she sells them to the Tophams to gain entry to their home and quiz them about the clock. Interviewing various Crowley relatives and friends, Nancy learns from an injured old lady that Crowley hinted that the clue to his will would be found in the family clock. Initially she becomes interested in the case because she dislikes his snobbish "nouveau-riche" social-climbing "heirs." Briefly aided along the way by chum Helen Corning, Nancy also wishes to discredit the Tophams, the Crowley family's snobby rivals.Ī nasty encounter at a department store allows Nancy to discredit the Topham sisters when they break an expensive vase. But i'd say this is one of the mildest games in the series as far as the violence.16-year-old recent high-school graduate Nancy Drew wishes to help the Horners, who are struggling relatives of the recently-deceased Josiah Crowley. Overall, this is a very good game and also a very classic game. ![]() When that happens, all that occurs is that Nancy won't be able to drive her car and you'll have to click the "second chance button". What happens is when you do get a flat, you have to change the tire, in one step instead of putting the lug nuts on correctly, you can do them by hand. But, one of the mildest scenes is when Nancy gets a flat tire, you get it from driving over to many potholes, but trust me when I say her car can take quite a lot of abuse. It's not graphic, but the thought may scare some alone. Then, there's the scene where you have to grab a piece of paper, if you try to grab it on the bridge, Nancy falls off and dies. One violent scene is the kitchen fire where something goes wrong in the kitchen (I think the stove was left on) and it burns up. Then there's the sewing puzzle where you'll definetly need a steady hand because you have to stay in the guidlines while sewing the dress. One thing that may be a bit bothersome if the frustrating puzzles, one in particular is the mini-golf puzzle where you have to get a certain score inorder to complete it. Of course, Nancy is a good role model because she's persistent and she is a good friend towards Emily, because she helps her while she's greiving the loss of her mother. But, this game isn't flawless. Another really good thing about this game is the educational value, kids will most likely learn what things were like back then and they will also learn quite a few things about the Great Depresssion. One thing that I like the most is the music, it's classic 1930's style music and you may find yourself moving to the catchy beat. This game is based off of the first four books in the series. Parents, those of you who read the books as children will definetly have fun walking down memory lane.
